Therese Malischke-Licensed Massage Therapist
Therese’s approach to bodywork is that of holding a deep honoring presence for the body and spirit of each person. She provides gentle healing touch massage focused on supporting people to rest in self-acceptance, groundedness, and wholeness.

Her interest in bodywork therapy flowered from witnessing the power of reverent touch to heal the heart in ways that words cannot, and in recognizing that receiving touch is a need for every human being.

As a 2018 graduate of the East-West Healing Arts Institute, Therese was trained in Tuina and acupressure, elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine. These modalities promote the flow of vital energy (chi) in the body, helping to balance body systems, promote relaxation of the nervous system, and establish a feeling of vitality and wellness.

Therese especially enjoys working with people of diverse body types and ages including young people and older adults, as well as an end of life. She is honored to support people on their healing journeys through challenging emotional or physical experiences. She strives to create a safe and welcoming space for people of all cultural and gender identities and to provide physical adaptations as necessary. She has held an ongoing pursuit of personal spiritual growth including studies of meditation, shamanic wisdom and emotional awareness. In her free time, you will find her dancing with Madison hip-hop and street styles dance community.

Mary graduated from Chicago School of Massage Therapy in 2002. Over the years, she has had the privilege of working with clients across the lifespan and in various health circumstances. With that in mind, Mary will work with you to individualize your session to meet your needs and help you meet your wellness goals.
Mary has a strong foundation in Swedish therapeutic massage and neuromuscular therapy modalities. Other techniques Mary integrates into her sessions are stretching, myofascial release, and Integrative Reflexology. Mary loves to give her clients “homework”. She is happy to instruct on self-stretching and pain relief techniques you can use between massage sessions. Just let her know if that’s something you’d like to incorporate in your sessions.
In her free time, Mary practices tai chi, reads her never-ending stack of books, and attempts to turn her thumb green in her garden.
